i like totally dying for homework but i really want to post this!




through all these rainy days filled with loads of emo-ing from ME (hurhur), the one and only thing that kept me alive was BAND.

like seriously, today during sports meet, all i could think of was band. seeing all the hc seniors (and nanyang seniors) at the sports meet really brought warmth to my heart.

i was really because of band that i got to know music more, and music keeps my alive.


after sports meet, kexin and i went to slack off (or rather, talk like crazy about nothing but BANDDDD =D ) at KAP. listening to her more and one hours' worth of talk about BAND BAND BAND <3 filled with laughter was really hilarious and heartening. (: i was reminded by none other than her about what band was, what band is, and what band will always be in our hearts. though things have changed, it's still the same band that we really face with everyday.

thinking back in 2005, when we were merely sec 1s, when aiwen, yumin, vivien, zhuojin and yanzhen's batch was still around, band was really fun. their batch really helped us integrate into the whole band. they really helped us alot, and kept the passion within us burning.

though now their gone, and our band lacks their great source of fun, laughter, wackiness and simply craziness, what they taught and told us will always be remembered and kept in our hearts.

and i realised that the wall between me myself the the outside world is closing in.

im de-assoiciating myself from the big world outside-
and i've decided to dedicate myself to studies, mainly maths, CHINESE and sciences.

sunday at jason's was ok.

yet after the lesson, i met him coincidentally at the foot of the bridge to parkway, even though he left about half and hour before it.

at the centre we're classmates, maybe even friends when we have to solve stuff together.

been taking the bus to school these few days. and i've been meeting hakim on the bus.

everyone's growing so tall. and im forever at this height. ): and i like SJI's jacket. (: green and white.


went to watch SYF at SCH on monday with qianwen. was supposed to meet kexin but apparently she disappeared into thin air. fortunately qianwen had alot of contacts and we managed to sneak in to take a peak. RI's performance was nice! thought they did very well. (; especially for their choice piece and the part at sunrise where the upper woodwinds mimic the sounds of birds. very nice! (;

qianwen and i went back after RI's performance. heard alot of gossips from her. shall award her the gossip women of the year. (:

volunteered the help out at the SWS on tuesday, mainly just playing the double bass for their percussion enzemble, cause christal said they needed someone to help and jasmine didnt want to so there i volunteered. concert's on the 8th july! and they practice at ulu pandan cc, just next to my grandma's house.

yesterday was quite a fortunate day for me i guess. just quite screwed up at the end. morning was usual and i found out that im going to chilton (wellington, new zealand) for overseas attachment for end of year programme. smellie's going jaipur (india) and mozzie's going camberwell (melbourne, australia). congrats! (:

felt a little lost then. i had already mentally prepared myself for work experience, yet-

i just dont know.

then had the long awaited (dreaded) maths test which was rumoured to be very long cause alot of people couldnt finish the paper. though i managed to finish most and left only a 2 mark question blank, i still feel worried. ): i feel like something's missing.

then after school we had music. mrs ee was shocking, appearing to be so high yesterday, laughing at our lame and ridiculous opinions. i screwed up assesment as usual. ): played sonatina and broke down alot alot alot of times. rushed like siao. but surprisingly i still could hit all the notes. and i guess i was like the worst in the class. ):

after lessons, sarah goujun shena and i changed and went to thai noodle house for dinner. ate liao then bused to marina and walked to esplanade for piano recital. the recital was really good! called "an orchestra at the keyboard", kenneth hamilton really pulled it off. all the difficult fingerings with speeding running notes and the great leaps and runs and crossing of hands. really amazed and impressed. and wow the piano is nice. haha.

today.

i feel so screwed. i feel tired. tired of life or just plain tired i dont know.
i dont know who i am. im someone with lost identity.
i seem so have split personality. one during band and music and the other in lessons at home and at jason's.
i'm merely masking my true self, pretending to be a happy-go-luck girl.
i'm hiding myself from the eyes of others, afraid of what they would think of me.
i'm going anti-social.


i usually hold back when my eyes are wet, yet when i want to let all the tears flow now, i cant seem to be able to.
and that's when i realise that bottling up isnt doing any good at all.
the pain is unbearable.

can someone just really make me cry?

i think i let songs affect my moods too much. it seems like im having mood swings now.

oh my. i just saw something that is enough to make me cry.

First band was Changkat Changi followed by Kentridge. Both bands played Sunrise followed by their chosen piece. I shall not comment about those bands. Hwa Chong Institute came in the as the 3rd band. They played Sunrise too, followed by their chosen piece. I liked their chosen piece. It was cool and all of us expect them to get Gold With Honours. I forgot the sequence of the other following bands but i know before Bedok Town's turn, it was Nanyang Girl's High. Woots! They played Safari and OH MY GERARD WAY! they were SUPERB!!! AWESOME!!! and many more bombastic words that suits them. Oh man! All were girls and they sound fantastic. Both their set piece and chosen piece were superb. No words could describe my thoughts about them. They just blew me off. For Safari, the song was about the entrance to a safari and sounds of elephants, snakes hissing etc all inside that piece. Haha!! I sat beside WeiDa and when Nanyang Girls reached the part where sounds of elephants, birds etc came in, he was like - "Oh my god! What was that?!" That was my reaction too. They totally AWED me. Hahaha!!I expected them to get Gold With Honours. =D After Nanyang Girls, Bedok Town came on stage.

thinking back 2 years ago, when they announced that we got a gold, no one cheered. it was utter silence, which later including sniffs, which later turned into tears, and cries of sadness.

that night, we were the only band which got a gold but walked away in tear and sadness.

hoho the irony.

yet today, when they announced that we again got a gold, we cheered our hearts our hearts out and sabrina and vera even jumped out of their seats in joy.

and the ironic thing was that we heard nan chiau (who was right before us) play 7th night for their choice piece.

and today was the first time i played jericho's victory part so emotionally, I REALLY WANTED TO CRY ON STAGE.

but i couldnt. i dunno why.

and IM REALLY REALLY TOUCHED when i see aiwen, yumin, yixi, eugenia, clara, sylvia, margret, cheryl, chungyan, jackyln, guakhee, elissa, yasi, yanzhen, yingrui and MANY MANY MANY MORE SENIORS ponned school JUST TO COME ALL THE WAY TO SCH TO SUPPORT US! thank you so much!

and omg WE MADE OUR SENIORS CRY with our performance! yay! (:

and when they announced the results, we were all very nervous and holding each other's hands cause all the bands before us got bronze bronze bronze silver silver.

and HC got a silver so we thought we might get a silver too. cause they were quite good!

but no! we got a gold! and sorry jasmine for squeezing your hand too tightly!

and we're the only gold of the day! o.O quite surprising but ya! (:

apparently we're the 9th gold band and only st pats got a gold with honours so we're not so bad. (: today's overall is 1 Gold , 9 Silvers, 16 bronzes. such a big difference from the last syf!

anyway, han sheng showed me a blog and i found out that some people from others bands which performed today were quite dissappointed. but DONT BE OKAY! cause we really really thought you guys were good! (: and though you guys got a silver, you are a gold band in our hearts ok? (:

and to those bands who havent been for the judging yet e.g. RI, SJI...: JIAYOU JIAYOU JIAYOU! please you best and DONT LEAVE THE STAGE THINKING THAT YOU COULD HAVE DONE BETTER OK! (:

and oh man i think we were quite composed today. i mean we came back to school like nothing happened. and we werent cheering until we went back up to the bandroom lah. HAHA. and MS CHONG CRIED IN THE BANDROOM! OMG! yay we made her cry! (:

after 5 months of sweat, tears, frustration and hard work, it has certainly all paid off today. (: and we certainly are a SOLID GOLD BAND. (:

YAY I LOVE JERICHO! (:

and when we all graduate from nanyang, i think what yanzhen said is true. we wouldnt look back at our nanyang life and think about the how much fun we had in school.

There was only one band that I heard today, and knew for certain it is a gold band. Congrats to NYGH! You all did very well. Articulation and intonation was great! Perhaps towards the end of Jericho, everyone is tiring out, so the tuning starts to waver, but it was a great performance by the girls. Personally, I think you all chose pieces that suits your band well. I mean, who can scream better than an all-girls band for Jericho? Plus the screams for the results were deafening. LOL. anyway, TODAY WAS A PRETTY GOOD DAY! (:

friday we went to 扫墓 in the morning, and then i went over to kendra's house to do chem sia with peisan. I NEVER WANT TO EAT SO MUCH SWEET STUFF ANYMORE! omg phobia of eating too much apple jam. haha! but overall it was FUN!!!

saturday morning went for band, where we played in the quadrangle. the sound was pretty weird. :/ and jasmine and i and a FUN AND DUMB time trying to help HER (jasmine lah) MEMORISE THE SCORES haha.

then had maths and chinese tuitions then rushed for dinner with AUNTIE SIAN LAY and UNCLE LAI!!! omg i miss them! ): and we had this rather dumb game/conversation/joke round/ debate amoung the children (with the exception of GARY the OLD ONE). HAHA. quite dumb. and marcus and i were the only ones telling all the dumb and lame stuff lah. ): and waliao BENJAMIN KOH BULLY ME ARH. 小小年纪就会欺负我！没大枚小。 rawrrr!

then this morning we went to send auntie sian lao and uncle lai off! ): then gary's family and us with grandma and auntie sian bee went to eat lunch at changi's popeyes. then went for jason's tuition.

and HAHA today was quite fun! cause though it's kinda boring with all the maths to do and stuff, (espcially when it's QUADRATIC EQUATIONS TODAY OMGGG) but i did it with BENJAMIN CHAI!!! (:

and haha it was quite fun and dumb at the same time cause i dunno how to do alot of stuff and he got alot of careless mistakes and there was no answer key for us to check with so we had to help each other to corrct mistakes.

AND i found out that he's not as bad as i thought he was! he's quite nice AND HE DO DAMN FAST LAH. ): and i do very slow so he's always like waiting for me! ): im so sorry!!!!! =x

yay must do more of these type of practices then fun! (: and JASON was like! i dunno how to say anymore. haiyo. 自己找自己麻烦，最后还叫我们帮忙处理！in the end benjamin had to help him eat all the food lah! haha.




in conclusion, TODAY IS A PRETTY GOOD DAY!

i realised what jasmine said was true.

everytime before syf arrives, everything just starts pilling up. the stress, the workload, the emotions blah blah blah.

and sometimes it's to the extent where most of us start to break down.
